Outdoor cooking whether it’s on the grill or in a purpose built smoker is a favorite pastime.
As a kid growing up in the Deep South many memories were made in the summertime.
-Playing outdoors from dawn to dusk
One of my favorite memories is the smell of hamburgers and hotdogs cooking on a charcoal grill.
As I grew older I decided to try the smoking method of outdoor cooking in addition to grilling steaks, pork chops, hamburgers, etc.
You just can’t beat the taste (or smell) of smoking your meat. Whether its apple, pecan, mesquite or hickory the anticipation is the same.
Over time I’ve learned that there are many different ways to prepare and then smoke your food.
Add wood chips to the charcoal or propane grill while cooking burgers or chicken – Quick Smoke
Or my favorite:
The all-day method in a smoker or BBQ grill – LOW and SLOW.
I really enjoy trying different recipes and different ways of preparation and getting the family involved is also a lot of fun.
So if you’re just learning or curious about the art of smoking you’ve come to the right place.
